V Australia's inaugural television advertising campaign commenced this week with appearances capitalising on Channel 7's Olympic audience. The advertisement includes an animated 30 second spot that features radio personalities Hamish Blake and Andy Lee , and launches the line "V Australia; every day, a new idea takes off" campaign.
Boutique advertising agency Droga5 has been appointed to handle the V Australia advertising campaign, while CumminsNitro retains the Virgin Blue account.
The general manager for marketing for all Virgin's airlines, Michelle Lee, said that the television and print campaign reinforced the service values that were opposite to those of "legacy" airlines such as Qantas and United, and highlighted its unique inflight product.
