We've not seen a single pay-per-lead service operate ethically or legally. Ever. While this particular service continues to invite clear, ongoing, and blatant, non-compliance into your business, others aren't any different.
First, "Misleading or deceptive conduct is when a business makes claims or representations that are likely to create a false impression in consumers as to the price, value or quality of goods or services on offer. This is against the law. It's against the law for businesses to mislead consumers about the price of an item or service".
To comment on the the items in the screenshot (the ad and funnel introduced nine elements that would potentially earn you a big fine):
1. The service brokers provide is awesome. You don't have to lie about it. Don't assign some arbitrary BS value in order to bait somebody into your experience. This is illegal.
2. Don't use a countdown in order to lure somebody into your funnel. Don't lie. The funnel experience reflects the broker experience, so the fraudulent nature of the experience reflects poorly on the broker. Again, don't lie. Never use a countdown.
3. Don't claim you offer 'instant no-obligation pre approval" when you do absolutely nothing of the sort. The experience is offensive, non-compliant, and a lie.
I'm seriously offended as a professional and former broker. The conduct of this leadgen company, in our opinion, represents Unconscionable conduct.
Download and use our free 'Funnels' product - it returns about 40X - 50X ROI when compared against this BS. Seriously, and it's free.
Never ever buy leads. It's just dumb.
The system is broken.
