The ad is obviously misleading and deceptive, and design to bait borrowers into a subscription (quite frankly, just more of the same). It's disgusting that borrowers are expised to this deliberate deception funnel.
Our AI flagged the landing page because of the incorrect licencing details (Connective's correct ACL is 389328). Just a typo, but one that needs to be corrected.
The disclaimer was hidden behind a link, so it wasn't clearly visible. Usage of the ASIC logo, and no reference to industry or AFCA logos is also a little odd.
We're seeing a lot of property people use the 'pay off your home loan in 5 years' style of message, and in this case the claim is published as 'an average 8 years' - always a little dubious (it may well be a valid claim, although I hate hearing that anybody can pay off their loan in 5 years when it's objectively unlikely, with one guy claiming 3-5 years). As per ASIC guidelines, big claims require a big qualification.
I never like seeing a link to a web design or digital company on a client website. I've never felt like somebody else's product was the place for self-promotion. If you have this irrelevant link on your website, you should remove it.
Businesses introduce this style of non-compliance and usually aren't aware of the errors or malfeasance. In most cases, the poor digital isn't a true reflection on a good quality operation.
In terms of the 'quiz funnel', we see this deliberately deceptive funnelling introduced by leadgen charlatans every day.
