(We pick apart crappy and illegal ads every day - sending this post to a few new locations today).
1. Illegally iterating a broker website that provide advice, guidance, or suggestions. It provides an outcome - in this case 'qualification'. The name is one used by a legitimate business (exposing the business to other penalties).
2. 13+ irrelevant questions that do nothing to assess the financial position of the client. This violates the Privacy Act 1988.
3. Results are hidden behind a fake paywall (no results are ever returned). All open financial data should be transparent and require no payment (an email is a type of payment).
4. Fake promise made to access results. This was deception used to obtain the phone and email of the client.
4. The qualification means nothing. Data supplied certainly didn't qualify for anything. Utterly disguising conduct, and totally non-compliant.
5. Results are sent to an 'auto' page. This is merely a reflection on the crappy quality of the group responsible.
From a marketing perspective, the experience is utter horse crap. It'd be too exhausting to list all reasons why it's trash... and sherbet moot given the nature of the ad itself. It's just garbage.
How dare brokers diminish the value of the industry by investing in something that looks like this.
Don't buy leads. You're polluting the industry with finspam and exposing your business to serious litigation.
