I'm not sure what's more disgusting: an auctioneer making a flawed industry comment based on his random and entirely subjective experience (when he knows people are watching), or a news website reporting on the garbage without fact-checking against other agents or the reported numbers.
On the day this guy sold only one property, our clients, and most others I've spoken to, cleared over 80%. The end of days isn't measured by the results of a single day.
While the market is in decline it is important to be even more measured, reasonable, and responsible with public comment.
Buyers already have a general distrust of the industry so calling them 'bottom-feeders' doesn't help. Don't treat public comment as click bait.
