Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is a 1989 film directed by Steven Spielberg. It is the third instalment in the Indiana Jones franchise, featuring Harrison Ford reprising his role as the title character, who embarks on a search for theHoly Grail and his father, Henry Jones, Sr., played by Sean Connery.
Upon its release, the film opened to mostly positive reviews and later became the highest-grossing film worldwide in 1989. At the 62nd Academy Awards, it received three Oscar nominations and won the prize for Best Sound Effects Editing;Connery’s performance earned him two Golden Globes and BAFTA nominations for best supporting actor.
