One CEO I spoke to was interested in how we managed to generate new (completely cold) volume with relative ease. As a means of thanking this gentleman for his time, and despite the fact I declined their kind offer (they weren't a fit), this morning he's supplied me with one of their brokers so he may observe some of our processes.
I'm going to garnish at least 10m (minimum) in volume for an operation that writes 30m a year... and I'll do it with ease before lunch.
When we sat down for lunch last week I gave this particular CEO a Rubik's Cube that he couldn't solve. I did it in around a minute. The point I made is that there's a system for solving the puzzle and unless you know what it is you'll achieve nothing. Once you know the few basic rules, competing the puzzle is a simple process. The same rules apply for broking businesses, and very few know the solution... and it took me 10-years of owning my own brokerage before I figured it out.
