Website backups are essential. Despite introducing policies that vastly reduce the likelihood of your website becoming compromised (such as out Plugin Review policy), it is possibly that the open-sourced WordPress framework may become compromised. Sadly, this is just the world we live in.
At the time of writing this FAQ we will create nightly backups of all websites and then synchronise them to offsite storage. Nightly backups are generally a managed feature, and we typically require that website owners routinely backup their website when required. Backing up your entire website or database is easy and takes no more than 30 seconds.
You will find the Backup panel within the 'Website' module. Selecting the Backup icon returns a panel with a website select option and a table of your most recent backups.

To make a backup, you should select your website and submit. A full backup may take up to 30-seconds, while a database-only backup might take just a few seconds (to create a backup of just your database, you should select the 'Database Only' checkbox. The files are archived in a directory not accessible via the web, and the archive file is then synced off-site.
The table on the page will show a record of all your created backups.
A website restore is completed by us if or when required.
