Microsoft Contact Folders aren't as relevant as they once were, and the 'new' (2024) versions of Outlook will categorise contacts with 'Categories' rather than folders, although folders are still made available even if they're not part of the standard Outlook interface. Yabber will still require that a contact folder be applied from time-to-time, although they're no longer the primary means of segregating users.
Yabber is not a CRM, although various CRM-style functions are available via integration with the Microsoft suite of products - primarily Microsoft Planner. Microsoft Contact Folders may be used for sending SMS (and email) to segregated groups, although Categories are slowly becoming the primary means of filtering contacts.
This FAQ will detail the process of creating, editing, and synchronising Microsoft Contact Folders.
Leads Table: One example of where Contact Folders are used is the Formly module . When a form of any type is created you will be required to select a contact folder and contact categories. Categories are a more efficient filtering mechanism since a lead may be assigned to multiple categories but only one parent folder.
Locating the Microsoft Contact Folder Panel
Locate the Folder panel by navigating to CRM via the primary menu, then selecting the 'Contact Folders' icon. The primary creation (and edit) panel is returned.
