How to Create a General Quote Image with the Image Factory

The Image Factory - part of the broader Media Factory which is closely connected to the Social Sendify module - is very much a legacy system, but it may still return content that might be of value on Social Media. Generative AI has diminished the value of the point-and-click tools we've used since 2007, so this tool isn't as valuable as it once was.

This FAQ will show you how to create basic 'Quote Images' with the Image Factory panels. Another FAQ titled "How to Create a Simple Cash Rate Social Media Image with the Image Factory" will show you how to create more useful 'Cash Rate' RBA images. The 'Social Cards' facility is a more modern take on more functional images. In short, the Quotes panels are suitable for custom quotes and not much more.

Testimonial Images: It might be argued that the primary purpose of the Image Factory is creating Testimonial Images for use on Social Media. An FAQ titled How to Automate Testimonial Images to the Vista Calendar details how to automate Testimonial Images to your managed Social Media Calendar. Another FAQ details how to create custom Testimonial images.

  Locating the Image Quote Panels

You will find the Image Creation panels by navigating your way via the Social and Media Factory menus. We'll look at the basic 'Square' and 'Rectangle' images.

It's worth reading the FAQ titled "How to Build a Full Page of Finance Quotes or Return a Single Quote with Elementor or Shortcode" - this FAQ details how to send Quote you have already created directly to the Factory or direct to Social. Again, we'll look at basic Quote images.

Creating a Basic Square Quote Image

The basic quote image has just three primary components: the quote, attribution, and footer. The simplest and default manner to create the image requires that you provide only these three values. The background is sourced from a 'Background Library' (more on the backgrounds in a moment). You may align quotes to the left, centre, or right.

If you want to get fancy, there's a ton of options. You may optionally alter every single image attribute to your liking by selecting the 'Advanced Options ' panel (the linked example shows an alternate background).

Note the link that says "Send Image to Social Media". This allows you to immediately schedule the image directly to multiple social media accounts (with a square format preferred for Instagram) by linking to Sendify.

Creating a Basic Rectangle Quote Image

The Rectangle image isn't totally unlike the Square format, and the options are largely the same.

Not unlike the Square format, a large number of image options  will apply. Again, you may send the image directly to social. Either way, the image will reside in your Social and General Library.
