How to Change Your Facebook Page Profile Image and Banner in Yabber

This FAQ will guide you through the process of uploading and/or changing your Facebook profile image or company page banner. Note that two other similar FAQs are published with similar functionality. The first will show you how to schedule Seasonal banners, or those changes that will apply between a defined period of time, and the second will show you how to change your profile and banner image based on trending website traffic and/or resolved consumer behaviours.

This FAQ will be referenced by the two articles linked above for instructions on how to upload the profile images and banner images to your Facebook library.

  Locating the Facebook Profile and Banner Module

To locate the Facebook Banner options we'll have to take a little journey. From the 'Social' module, you should first select the 'Facebook' icon. This will take us to the 'Facebook Social' module - we'll need to click 'Facebook Marketing'. From this module we should select 'Banners'.

The returned panel presents options for all banner-related features.

  Uploading Profile Photographs and Banners

The process required to upload a profile image and banner is the same so we'll focus on the process of uploading the banner. When uploaded, the image will be sent to your selected Facebook Page, so be mindful of this 'publish' action if you ever decide to 'test' the feature. Depending on the mood of FB, and despite sending the request with a parameter that asks the image not be shown in the feed, it is often displayed. An ID is returned by Facebook, and we use this ID for all changes in the future (any image is uploaded just once).

We require profile images be be uploaded as 500ox by 500px, and the banner image should be 851 pixels wide by 315 pixels in height. We'll go ahead and upload both - the banner is pictured below. We're uploading basic orange backgrounds for the purpose of the demo (review the profile image  and background image ).

We now want to make the change on Facebook.

  Updating Profile and Banner Images on Facebook

Send profile and banner images to Facebook via the 'Send' menu. First select your page and banner type (Profile or Banner), then submit. A select menu with available images for the specific page will be returned. When you have selected the image, click the submit button. The change is made immediately.

  About Wistia

Wistia is a third-party service that provides videos hosting for a monthly subscription. It is quite costly, but the platform does provide for three free videos and we encourage all our users to sign up for this offer.

Wistia provides a large number of integrated video features that enable far greater insights into video performance when compared to platforms such as YouTube, and the level of statistical data returned for each user is significant.

Yabber integrates with Wistia in such a way that we effectively emulate most features of that service. This tight level of connectivity enables features such as the email collection turnstiles (or email capture form 'gates' within a video) to be used for engagement and not just consumption.

This FAQ should be read in company with those listed below since when you're updating a video you'll generally update all of the profiles shown at the same time.

If the source is set to 'Elementor', all Yabber and Wistia options are ignored, and if set to Yabber, all Elementor options are ignored.
