You may upload PDF and ZIP files to Yabber. These files then become available as landing page assets, downloads on your website, and so on. In fact, there's over 20 ways in which the documents may be made available to your clients. All your uploads are fully tracked, and all may have marketing triggers assigned.
All your uploads are version controlled in that you may replace them at any time or update each new version with change notes. The change log is available to be printed to your website via shortcode or with an Telementor widget.
This FAQ will introduce the basics of the Download Manager. Additional features are made available via the related 'File Management and Download FAQs'.
File Management: It shouldn't need to be said, but please do not upload files directly to your website or to untracked cloud storage. All files of all types should be uploaded to Yabber.
You should upload files by selecting the 'Upload' icon in the header, or by selecting the 'Upload' menu option in the 'Library' module.

How to Upload a PDF or ZIP File
There are two ways to upload files to Yabber, but most users are assigned what is essentially the 'two-step' legacy panel. This FAQ will be updated when the alternate model becomes a standard feature.
The first step is to create your download record via the 'Upload' panel. Populate the required fields. The method to create a Category is described shortly. If uploading a new file that already has a download history, you may update the 'Download Count' as required.

Select 'Upload File'. If no malformed document issues were encountered a success message will be returned.

When uploaded, an image to represent the download may or may not be created. It is expected that you will create your own images to represent the PDF documents that you will use on landing pages and with other download tools.
Managing Uploaded Yabber Files
Your uploaded PDF and ZIP files are made available in your 'Media Library'. You may search for files if required. Selecting the green icon returns document data and returns a number of shortcodes that may be used on your website to link directly the file, show the version change log, link to the PDF Viewer, and embed directly into your website. All these tools are supported with Elementor drag-and-drop widgets. Additional FAQs reference how the tools are used.

All document downloads are fully tracked to the user level on your website or in email marketing campaigns or any type, and optional triggers may be applied.
Extensive download statistics may be referenced via the 'Stats' panel. Wherever a user BMUID is referenced, the files downloaded by that user are always shown (this forms part of the BeNet AI system for funnel and conversion analysis).
Editing Files and File Version Control
Simple version control is applied to each uploaded file, so replacing the file will reflect immediately wherever the file is referenced. The version control features are discussed in an FAQ titled 'How to Edit Files in the Media Library and Use Manager Version Control'.
