In a previous FAQ we looked at how to include an address validation field into a form on your website. This FAQ will introduce the same style of field that will automatically direct the user to the single page associated with each registered address in Australia.
This feature is part of the broader Property functionality but serves as a brilliant engagement tool. It's expected that the destination page will include very property-specific sales data and regional statistics. Until the core-logic style of data is included we've included generic suburb-based graphing on the redirected page.
A Framework Update May Be Required: Various website framework updates over the last couple of years have introduced the need for various updates. The Yabber V0.8.8.2 plugin update coincides with framework page updates. These updates are introduced in an FAQ titled "How to Create Pages to Support the Yabber Version 0.8.8.2 Plugin Update". These changes may or may not be required on your website.
Again, the primary purpose of most Property tools is to return relevant and targeted Property Listings and Property data on your website. The broader property module is introduced in other FAQs. A single (hidden) page exists for general searches [ DEMO ], although the page exists primarily to occupy a 'holding page' that would otherwise be empty (the page will also include other property data and listings).
A Basic Example
A simple demonstration of the field is shown below. Start typing an address and location suggestions will be returned. Select a returned address and you will be redirected to the relevant page.
Every destination page will include subscription forms, lead offers, and video, with the latter being particularly important. All assets are assigned in Yabber and selectively shown based on resolved geography, interest, or other attributes.
WordPress Shortcode
The easiest way of including the form anywhere is via shortcode. Copying the shortcode text of [bm_property_search_redirect]
into any post or page will return the search field as shown above. Various attributes may be used to alter basic presentation.
placeholder
placeholder="Review Property Address"
or similar.icon
fas fa-search
by default. Alter with icon="fas fa-search"
(changing the icon type as required).style and dd_style
search-address-wrapper
or bm-address-dropdown
as required, but the style
text will be applied to the wrapper inline, and the dd_style
will be applied to the dropdown block.More options are forthcoming.
The Elementor Widget
Shortcode introduces a level of complexity that many will want to avoid, so you may use our drag-and-drop Elementor tool. Launch Elementor from within WordPress, search 'BM Search', drag the widget into any location on your page, select 'Address Redirect' as the 'Search Type', and alter stylistic options as required. The form is immediately rendered.
Pictured: Launch Elementor from within WordPress, search 'BM Search', drag the widget into any location on your page, select 'Address Redirect' as the 'Search Type', and alter stylistic options as required. The form is immediately rendered.
Conclusion
The broader 'Streets' module adds over 15-million individual pages to your website, and when considered alongside other property-related tools you'll have over 40-million pages on the backend working hard to convert your organic and funnel traffic. While these tools are typically 'hidden', you should use them sensibly to create highly effective conversion pathways.
Remember, your positioning in the digital minefield comes from qualifying your experience above that of your competitors, so your perceived expertise and authoritativeness comes from all customer touchpoints prior to (and obviously after) that first conversation, and digital is an incredibly powerful and persuasive tool. Your competitors don't have a chance.
